Privacy Policy

Effective August 7, 2026 · Last updated August 7, 2026

In short: This website collects nothing. Apps on subdomains of phebert.dev may use Sign in with Google and receive only your basic profile (name, email address, profile picture), which is used solely to operate the app you signed in to. Nothing is sold, shared for advertising, or used to build marketing profiles. Email me any time to have your data deleted.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Peter Hebert (“I,” “me,” or “my”) handles information in connection with the website at www.phebert.dev (the “Site”) and the web applications hosted on subdomains of phebert.dev (the “Apps”). The Apps are independent, non-commercial projects, and the data practices are intentionally minimal.

2. This Website

The Site itself is a simple informational page. It does not ask you to create an account, does not collect names, email addresses, or payment information, does not set tracking cookies, and does not use analytics tools that track individual users. You may browse the Site completely anonymously.

Like virtually all websites, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) may automatically record standard technical information — such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested — for security and operational purposes. I do not use this information to track, profile, or identify individual visitors. To display its typefaces, the Site loads web fonts from Google Fonts; when your browser requests those files, your IP address is transmitted to Google as part of the request and handled under Google’s own privacy policy.

3. Information the Apps Collect

Apps on subdomains of phebert.dev may collect:

4. How Information Is Used

Information is used only to operate the Apps: to sign you in, to identify you within an App (for example, showing your name and picture next to your entries), and to provide the App’s features to you and the other invited users you interact with. Specifically:

5. Google User Data and Limited Use

The Apps request only the Google OAuth scopes they need — ordinarily just your basic profile (name, email address, and profile picture) for sign-in. If a particular App requests access to additional Google data, that data is used solely to provide the user-facing feature that requires it, and this policy applies to it in full.

phebert.dev’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke an App’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

6. Sharing of Information

Information is not shared with third parties, except:

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your information is kept only while you use the Apps. If you would like your account or any of your data deleted, email me at the address below and I will delete it promptly. You can also revoke the Apps’ access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account settings, which stops any further access to your Google data.

8. Security

All connections to the Site and Apps are encrypted with HTTPS. Data is stored with reputable infrastructure providers, and access is limited to me as the operator. That said, no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and these are personal projects — please don’t store anything in them that you couldn’t bear to lose.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an App, please contact me and I will delete it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data. The simplest way to exercise any of these rights is to email me directly; I will honor such requests regardless of where you live.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date, and material changes will be flagged within the Apps or by email. I encourage you to review this page periodically.

12. Contact
